Terms and Conditions for Donations
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your donations to The BreatheHope Trust (“BHT”) through Epiphaniq Pty Ltd as Trustee (“Recipient”) on this website. By making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Donations
- Donations are intended to support Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy research and treatment for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), specifically for clinical research to be conducted by Wesley Hyperbaric in Brisbane, Australia.
- All donations are voluntary.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the donation amount and any associated fees.
Payment Processing
- Donations are processed securely through GoFundMe, Paypal, Stripe or other donation payment gateways chosen by BHT.
- You are responsible for any fees associated with your donation/payment transaction, including processing fees and potential currency conversion charges.
- Recipient is not responsible for any errors or issues arising from the donation/payment transaction process.
Tax Deductibility
- Recipient cannot provide tax advice. Please consult your tax advisor to determine the deductibility of your donation.
Use of Donations
The donor acknowledges and agrees that all contributions made to Breathehope are received with the understanding that the trustees of Breathehope have complete discretion and control over the ultimate disposition of the donations. Funds may be used for medical research, education, awareness campaigns, or any other related activities that support the mission of Breathehope in the field of brain injury research and recovery.
Refund Policy
- Donations are generally non-refundable. However, we may consider refunds in limited circumstances, such as processing errors or duplicate donations. Please contact us at www.breathehope.au/contact1 within 10 days of your donation to request a refund.
Privacy Policy

Recurring Donations
- You can choose to make a recurring donation at a regular interval (e.g., monthly, annually). You can cancel or modify your recurring donation at any time by logging into your PayPal account or contacting us.
Change of Designation
- If you wish to change the designation of your donation within the BHT’s mission (e.g., from general support to a specific CTE research project), please contact us at www.breathehope.au/contact. We will try our best to accommodate your request.
No Guarantees:
- Donations to The BreatheHope Trust do not guarantee a cure or specific outcome for CTE treatment. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a developing field of research, and its effectiveness for CTE treatment is still being investigated.
Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recipient and BHT from any claim or liability arising from your use of the donation platform or the effectiveness of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for CTE treatment.
Entire Agreement:
- These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Recipient regarding donations.
Severability:
- If any provision of the Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions will still be enforceable.
Assignment:
- Recipient reserves the right to assign its rights and obligations under the Terms to a third party.
Headings:
- Headings in the Terms are for reference only and do not affect the interpretation of the Terms.
Electronic Signatures:
- Your electronic submission of a donation constitutes your agreement to the Terms.
